Fly Odyssey will be hosting a trip to Mayaguana in December 2007. Mayaguana provides a remote fly-fishing experience in a unique setting. This Island receives little pressure from fly-fishermen and has some of the biggest bonefish in the Bahamas swimming around its waters. The flats are accessed by canoes and all fishing is done by wading. The trip will be a hosted DIY experience, however, guides are available at very reasonable rates (US$100/day) if necessary. We have a last minute trip available to the Talaheim Lodge in Alaska for 4 anglers. The week is wide open at the moment and you will have the lodge to yourselves. Talaheim offers a unique experience in Alaska as your days are spent heli-fishing into the remote tributaries of the Talachulitha River system. This week offers great fishing for King Salmon as well as your chance to 'mouse' for big rainbows and also offers some dolly vardden and grayling fishing.
The trip is 7 full days fishing, 6 nights lodge accommodation. You will have one day on the local waters via jet-boat and 6 days helicopter fly-out to rivers and streams that cannot be accessed by float planes.
